ChronoLedger
For Solo Freelancers

Bill more, chase less, owe yourself nothing.

Track time, see what you actually earn per client, send clean invoices. The agency stack for one person.

What we hear

Trade these pain points for outcomes

  1. You quote a rate and never check whether the project actually pays it.

Track your real hourly cost (your time) against the invoice rate. Know your margin per client at a glance.

  2. You undercharge because you have no historical data on how long a job really took.

Every project leaves behind an honest record of hours by task. Your next quote is grounded in fact.

  3. Late invoices pile up and chasing them takes hours each month.

Invoice drafts assemble themselves from approved time. Payment links are baked in at send.

  4. Expenses get entered into a spreadsheet that nobody else ever sees.

Capture expenses against a project as they happen, with the receipt attached. They show up on the next invoice.

What you get

Everything Solo Freelancer need

Dual-rate even for solos

Track your own time-cost (what an hour of yours is worth) alongside the client invoice rate. The same primitive that runs agencies works for one person.

Invoice automation

Approved time becomes an invoice draft. Add expenses, send. No more end-of-month rebuild from a spreadsheet.

Stripe Connect for client payments

Connect your own Stripe account once. Invoices carry a payment link; money lands in your bank, not in ours.

Expense capture

Snap a receipt against a project. It joins the project ledger and appears on the matching invoice — no parallel spreadsheet.

Per-client profitability

See which clients earn you the most per hour and which quietly cost you weekends. Negotiate from data on the next renewal.

Day in the life

How Solo Freelancer use ChronoLedger

  1. §01

Add a new client and project

Create the client, add a project, set the rate you agreed. Connect Stripe once if you have not already — invoices use it from now on.

Common questions

Can I use ChronoLedger without a team?
Yes. The same dual-rate, project, and invoicing primitives work for a single person. There is no team minimum.
How does ChronoLedger billing work?
Usage is billed in tokens. Every account gets free tokens each week — most solo freelancers never need to buy more. If you do, top up only what you need; there is no per-seat fee, no contract, and no minimum spend.
Do I need a registered business entity to use ChronoLedger?
No. ChronoLedger does not require a business registration. Whether you can accept client payments under your own name is determined by your payment platform's onboarding rules in your country, not by ChronoLedger.
How do I actually receive money from clients?
However you already prefer. Use ChronoLedger purely as a tracking and invoicing tool, then send the invoice through Stripe Connect, Wise, PayPal, bank transfer, or any other platform. If you do connect Stripe Connect inside ChronoLedger, invoices carry a payment link and money lands in your Stripe balance directly.
Can I use ChronoLedger only for tracking and bill clients elsewhere?
Yes. ChronoLedger works fine as a pure time-and-money tracker. Export approved time, hand it off to FreshBooks, Wave, Xero, or your accountant, and run invoicing wherever you already do.
What happens if I want to refund or expire purchased tokens?
See our Refund Policy for the current terms.
Can I export my data to take it elsewhere?
Yes. CSV, Excel, and PDF exports are available for time entries, projects, expenses, and invoice history — at any time.
