ChronoLedger
For Solo Clients

Hire freelancers, control your budget.

Run your own projects with hired help and stay on top of every dollar — same tools agencies use.

What we hear

Trade these pain points for outcomes

  1. You hire a freelancer and lose budget visibility the moment work starts.

Live spend per freelancer, per project, in one dashboard.

  2. Coordinating two or three freelancers means three different tracking tools.

Every contributor logs time into the same workspace, on the same project, against the same budget.

  3. Rates are negotiated by email and forgotten by month-end.

Each contributor's agreed rate sits on the project — same source of truth they bill from.

  4. You have no clean way to share progress with a co-founder or partner.

Export a single PDF of the project ledger and hand it over.

What you get

Everything Solo Client need

Project budgets

Set a hard or soft budget per project. Watch consumption in real time across every contributor.

Multi-freelancer tracking

Invite as many contributors as the project needs. Their hours roll up to the same project ledger.

Transparent per-contributor rates

Each contributor's rate lives on the project, agreed up front. Reporting compares actual spend against the agreed rate, with no fog.

You stay in control

Contributors see only the projects you have invited them to. They cannot see your other engagements or each other's rates.

Clean exports for tax and accounting

Pull the full project ledger to CSV, Excel, or PDF whenever you need it — no vendor lock-in on your records.

How Solo Client use ChronoLedger

  1. §01

Set up the project and invite the freelancer

Create the project, agree the budget and the freelancer's rate, then send an invite. They accept and join your workspace as a contributor.

  2. §02

They log work, you watch the budget

The freelancer logs hours as they go. You see consumption in real time and approve completed milestones in the dashboard.

    FREELANCER HOURS

Common questions

Can I hire freelancers from anywhere in the world?
Yes. ChronoLedger does not gate workspace access by country. Whether you can transact with a specific freelancer is governed by their own payment setup — not by us.
How do I actually pay the freelancers?
You are not locked into ChronoLedger for payments. Pay your freelancers however you both prefer — bank transfer, Wise, Revolut, PayPal, your own invoicing software, or anything else. ChronoLedger tracks the hours, budgets, and approvals; settlement happens wherever you already pay people. If your freelancers do want to invoice through ChronoLedger, they can connect their own Stripe account via Stripe Connect and payments go directly to them — but that is one option, not a requirement.
Does ChronoLedger require a minimum spend on the platform itself?
No. ChronoLedger pricing is token-based. Every account gets free tokens each week — most small clients never need to top up. You only pay for usage above the free pool.
Does ChronoLedger lock me into minimum contracts with my freelancers?
No. ChronoLedger has no opinion on the terms between you and your freelancers — duration, retainer, hourly, milestone, kill-fee, anything you agree on works. Set whatever budget and rate you have negotiated; the platform just tracks against it.
Do I need a registered business entity to use ChronoLedger?
No. You can run projects as an individual. Whether you can accept (or send) payments under your own name is determined by your chosen payment platform's onboarding rules, not by us.
Can I use ChronoLedger only for tracking and pay through other tools?
Yes. ChronoLedger works fine as a pure time-and-budget tracking system. Hand the project ledger off to your accountant, your bookkeeping software, or wherever you already process payments.
What if I want to bring on a fourth or fifth contributor?
Add them. There is no per-seat fee and no tier upgrade required. Token usage rises only as the platform is actually used.
Can I export everything if I decide to leave?
Yes. CSV, Excel, and PDF exports of the full project ledger are available to you at any time. Your data is yours.
